Mayank Agarwal's First Social Media Post Since In-Flight Scare

Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal escaped a huge tragedy after consuming a poisonous liquid, thinking it was water, in an Agartala to Delhi flight on Tuesday. Agarwal was immediately admitted to a hospital in Agartala where the doctors treated him in ICU. Understanding that there could be some conspiracy in the entire scenario, Agarwal even filed an FIR with the police, though an investigation in the matter is still ongoing. On Wednesday, the cricketer took to social media to share an update about his health. "I am feeling better now. Gearing to come back. Thank you for prayers, love and support, everyone!," Mayank's post read. Ashwin-Jadeja Pair Struggles On Track That Is Not Exactly Dust-Bowl

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are India's stormtroopers at home, tossing over opponents like pioneer dolls and their numbers validate their supremacy too. They started the Hyderabad Test against England with a combined tally of 500 wickets, one behind Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. Now, they stand on top of the Indian chart with 511 wickets and certainly in the company of all-timers such as Broad-Anderson (1039), Warne-McGrath (1001), Murali-Vaas (895) or Ambrose-Walsh (762). Despite that lofty achievement and a fairly decent haul, Ashwin and Jadeja might not look back at the first Test against England with whole lot of fondness after visitors scored 420 in second innings at four plus runs per over. Yes, their six-wicket haul (6/156) in the first innings had played a significant part in India bundling out England for 246. Hence, it was natural for one to expect Ash-Jaddu to knock the stuffing out of England in their second innings, particularly after having establish...

In the video going viral on social media, Babar was heard repeatedly shouting "I am not talking to you" towards Irfan. Historic! Indian Batter Smashes World Record With Heroic Ranji Knock

Talented opening batter from Hyderabad, Tanmay Agarwal broke another world record after scoring the fastest triple-hundred in the history of first-class cricket in a Ranji Trophy Plate Group match against Arunachal Pradesh. Tanmay, who previously brought up his triple-century in just 147 balls, was eventually dismissed for 366 runs, hence failing to beat Brian Lara 's score of 501* in a First-Class match. But, he did manage to record the most number of sixes (26) ever by a batter in an innings in a First-Class match. The record of scoring the most number of sixes in a First-Class match was previously held by New Zealand's Colin Munro , who had scored 23 sixes in a First-Class match. Tanmay was unbeaten on 323 off 160 balls with 33 fours and 21 sixes to his name on Friday. He resumed his innings on Saturday and added 5 more sixes before being dismissed on 366. The 28-year-old Indian batter earlier broke the record of South African cricketer Marco Marais, who had scored a trip...

Shoaib Malik Had A 3-Year Affair With Sana Javed? Explosive Claim From PAK

Indian tennis superstar Sania Mirza has received strong support from people in Pakistan after ex-husband Shoaib Malik revealed last week that he was now married TV actor and model Sana Javed. People on social media have castigated Malik and Sana for breaking up their respective marriages, with many supporting Sania's decision to seek divorce from the Pakistani cricketer. To add fuel to fire, a podcast on news channel Samaa TV claimed that Malik and Sana had been having an affair and intimate relations since last three years despite being married. The podcast added that Sana had been divorced merely for three months from her former husband Umair Jaswal when she tied the knot with Malik. Whenever Malik was invited for any shows on the channel, he would appear only on the condition that Sana should also be called, the podcast added. “They were having an affair for the last three years and were intimately involved,” a producer of the podcast said. “Umair didn't know about this, ...

"Rohit Walks The Talk As A Leader": Zaheer Khan

Former India left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan on Monday described Rohit Sharma as a leader who "walks the talk" and reckoned he will contribute handsomely both as a captain and batter in the upcoming five-Test series against England. "Everyone knows of the influence and impact that Rohit has had on the whole group," Zaheer said on JioCinema. Zaheer said the hallmark of Rohit's captaincy is his ability to communicate well. "He talks about communication. He gives enough confidence to every player and brings out the best in them. "That has been the hallmark of his captaincy and he leads from the front as seen in the World Cup. He walks the talk. Usman Khawaja In Contention To Feature In 2nd Test Against West Indies

Australia batter Usman Khawaja is in contention to face West Indies in the second Test of the series at Gabba on Thursday after passing his concussion protocols, according to ESPNcricinfo. Khawaja sustained a blow on the helmet in the first Test in Adelaide. In the second innings, Australia were asked to chase down 26 to emerge victorious in the series opener. With the scores level, West Indies pacer Shamar delivered a 138 kph bouncer that skidded through from around the wicket and drew blood from the 37-year-old Khawaja as he tried to move his head from the line of the ball but it struck him on the chin. Khawaja passed the initial concussion test and is due to return to training on Tuesday for Australia's main session. "He completed normal concussion assessments today [Sunday]. "Rohit Is Capable Of Doing It. Virat Should...": Ind Legend's Blunt Advice

Legendary Indian cricket team batter Kris Srikkanth believes Virat Kohli should stick to his natural game instead of adopting an aggressive approach from the very first ball. In the recently concluded T20I series against Afghanistan, fans and experts were surprised with the style of batting that Kohli displayed. After missing the first game due to personal reasons, Kohli slammed 29 off just 16 balls in the second game with couple of slog sweeps. However, in the next match, he scored the first golden duck of his T20I career after he was caught at mid-off after miscuing the very first ball. Srikkanth cited the example of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal as players who can adopt an aggressive style of batting from the start and he advised Kohli to stick to his natural game. "Each player has his own game. Everybody should first follow their game. If you tell Yashasvi Jaiswal to take his time and play, it's not right. Players like him and 'Cheeka', you can't tell ...

Pietersen Decodes Spin Mastery As England Look To Repeat 2012 India Glory

Underscoring the need for a robust defense, England batting great Kevin Pietersen has said his relentless defensive drills at the nets was the mantra to his success during the triumphant 2012-13 tour of India. Pietersen's 186 off 233 balls, in the second Test in Mumbai, is seen as one of the best performances by a foreign batter on a tour of India. The knock helped reverse the momentum after England were well beaten in the first Test, setting the tourists on the way to their first series win in India in 27 years. India have not lost a series at home since then. "Getting runs is just going to be a fluke without a defence," the 43-year-old told Mike Atherton in a candid interview in The Times. As England get ready for the upcoming five-match series, Pietersen's thoughts provide a clear view of the challenges and opportunities that await them in India. Pietersen recalled that the English batters would do shadow-batting "all the time". "We used to do th...

Nasser Hussain Warns Against Writing Off England's Chances In India

Given their recent success with the 'Bazball' approach, former skipper Nasser Hussain has warned against writing off England's chances in the upcoming five-match Test series in India, though the hosts will start as firm favourites. Since embracing Bazball, England are yet to lose a Test series, while India remain unbeaten at home since 2012-13. "India are the favourites, but every single challenge Bazball has faced they've stuck to their guns and Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum's record is seriously good, I wouldn't write them off," Hussain told Sky Sports. "Bazball has been very successful, especially at home, and the two toughest places to tour are India or Australia. It's going to be a massive challenge for England. "India want to see how this new approach will work at home. It will be fascinating cricket and will be interesting to see how this particular side will go against what is one of the great cricketing outfits at the moment,...

Slamming the move of breaking the worldwide famous opening pair of Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan following the team's loss in the T20I series against New Zealand, former Pakistan cricketer and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja asked the selectors what benefit they gained out of it. How Team India Made Experts Eat Their Words, Broke "Gabba Ka Ghamand"

On this day in 2021, the Indian cricket team, led by Ajinkya Rahane , created history by winning a Test match at the Gabba, Brisbane, beating Australia in their fortress. With Virat Kohli back home after the first Test against the Aussies, it was Rahane who led the troops, inspiring a young brigade with the likes of Rishabh Pant , Shardul Thakur , Washington Sundar , Mohammed Siraj to secure what went down in the history books as one of India's finest Test triumphs. While the Border-Gavaskar series went in India's favour, the touring team wasn't expected to produce a performance of this category, especially after they were bowled out for just 36 runs in the Adelaide Pink Ball Test. Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head Put Australia In Command Against West Indies

An inspired spell of bowling from Josh Hazlewood and a brilliant attacking century from Travis Head put Australia in complete control of the first Test against the West Indies in Adelaide on Thursday. After Head smashed 119 from 134 balls to take Australia to 283 and a first-innings lead of 95, Hazlewood took four wickets for just two runs at the start of the West Indies second innings to deal a hammer blow to the visitors. At stumps on the second day, the West Indies were 73-6, still 22 runs from making Australia bat again. Joshua Da Silva was not out 17, with Justin Greaves dismissed off the last ball of the day's play. Hazlewood removed the top four West Indies batsmen in a superb spell of seam bowling.  He dismissed Tagenarine Chanderpaul for a first ball duck, then in his next over he had captain Kraigg Brathwaite caught by Head at a deepish short leg. "Injustice To Talent": Ex Pak Star's No Nonsense Remark On Shubman Gill

One of the finest performers for India in 2023, Shubman Gill hasn't done much justice to his talent in 2024. After a poor show in the first T20I against Afghanistan, Gill was dropped in favour of Yashasvi Jaiswal for the opening spot. Jaiswal grabbed his chance with both hands, scoring a half-century in the second T20I. Gill, over the last few weeks, hasn't quite managed to justify his place in the team, be it the shortest format or the longest. Former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt isn't pleased seeing a talented player like Gill going on this sort of barren run. "I think Shubman Gill has done an injustice to his talent in the last few games. He is too good a player and has too much skill for the kind of hurry that he has been showing.
